Horse Country… Lexington, Kentucky.

Today we saw many horse ranches... There are 500 Thoroughbred Farms in Lexington. Talked to trainers and owners. Learned so much... Saw colts, stallions, and mares.... Yearlings, horses worth 750,000$$$! Mares are pregnant for 11 months. Their colts stay with them for 4-6 months... During that time they are bred again... They have about 15 foals in their lifetime. This is definitely a pastime of the rich and famous... Costs around $800,000 a month to operate one ranch. Got to pet lots of mares and their foals. Wonderful day. Now we are back in our airbnb... resting and doing laundry.
